It is a list of the 500 largest industrial corporations in the U.S., compiled annually by Fortune magazine. The corporations are ranked by 12 indices, for example revenues, profits, assets, stockholders’ equity, and market value.

Headquarters city, phone number, and the name of the chief executive officer are also included. In separate listings, companies also are ranked by performance and within states.
