Value Investing Definition
An investing strategy that focuses on investing in companies thought to be undervalued. To determine undervalued stocks using this strategy, investors often look for stocks with low price-to-earnings ratios and low price-to-book values. Value investing is focused more on fundamentals of a stock and less on technical analysis.
