Sell-Side Analyst Definition
Sell-Side Analyst evaluates companies, all typically in the same industry, for future earnings growth and other investment criteria. The analyst works with models to project the companies' expected performance, and completes research reports. The job may include meetings with people involved in the given industrial sector such as customers, suppliers, and competitors of the analyzed firms. Analysts may place "buy", "sell", or "hold" recommendations on securities.
