Seasonally Adjusted Annual Rate Definition
An adjustment used for data to remove the seasonal swings. This process helps to make more accurate comparisons from month to month during the whole year. The rate is calculated by dividing the unadjusted annual rate for the month by its seasonality factor and creating an adjusted annual rate for the month.
