Redeemable Shares Definition
Redeemable Shares are special shares that may be redeemed at the option of the issuer and/or the shareholder. For example the issuing business must repurchase the share on the occurrence of a specified event, such as the death of an owner or on a particular date. Or a company may issue redeemable shares that it buys back off the investors at a given price instead of paying a dividend.
