Quality
Control (QC) is an ongoing process. It
is a series of steps a company makes to guarantee that a manufactured product
or service follows a strict set of predetermined criteria or meets the
requirements of the client. Before
beginning an effective quality control program, a company must determine
specific standards that the product or service meets. Data is collected to determine the
performance threshold. Corrective action
is decided upon and taken and a plan devised for improvement.
Additional meaning of Quality Control:
Quality Control differs from Quality Assurance, which is concerned with the quality of products
that are not yet completed.
