Gentleman's Agreement Definition
An informal agreement between two or more persons that is understood as part of an unspoken agreement by convention or through mutually beneficial etiquette. This type of agreement is not legally binding, it is backed only by the integrity of the persons being part of it. If one party decides to default on his or her promise, the terms of the agreement are not enforceable in any way.
