Financial planning Definition
A process of assessing an individual or business' financial situation, to detemine financial objectives and then formulate financial strategies on how to achieve goals set forth. The strategies used to reach the financial goals of the plan will typically involve tax planning, investing, asset allocation, risk management, retirement and estate planning.
