Beige Book Definition

Beige Book is the short name of the Summary of Commentary on Current Economic Conditions, a report published by the Federal Reserve Board eight times a year. The report is a collection of  information on current economic conditions summarized by each Federal Reserve Bank in its district. It contains the opinion of bank and branch directors as well as interviews with key business contacts, economists, market experts, etc.
